This is the first year Irwin Hodsen produced aluminum license plates for Oregon. Other types of plates this year were still made from steel, like Exempt, Truck, and Farm plates. A limited run of plates around #400-000 were also steel.
Registerable on a 1947 vehicle via Special Interest registration in the state of Oregon or a great addition to any collection. This year of plate was the first year plates were made of aluminum. Some of the plates produced around the number 400,000 were steel, but most of the plates issued are aluminum. An original low-digit plate like this is a must to have in any collection of Oregon plates.

All plates are shipped via USPS. Orders under 1lb are shipped via First Class. All other orders over 1lb will be shipped via Priority Mail. Everything is carefully packed with cardboard, wrapped in bubble wrap, and securely packed into a thick bubble mailer.
